The Ampicillin Repair Oligonucleotide is 27bp in length and introduces a 4-base insertion, restoring the PstI site and repairing the amp gene of the pALTER-MAX Vector.
The Ampicillin Repair Oligonucleotide is 27bp in length and introduces a 4-base insertion, restoring the PstI site and repairing the amp gene of the pALTER-MAX Vector. The antibiotic resistance Repair Oligonucleotide allows multiple rounds of mutagenesis to be performed by alternate selection for antibiotic resistance/sensitivity using the pALTER-MAX Vector during site-directed mutagenesis. The oligonucleotide is annealed to the DNA template at the same time as the mutagenic oligonucleotide. Subsequent synthesis and ligation of the mutant strand links the two mutations. The Repair Oligonucleotide is supplied phosphorylated.
