The pCAT3 Reporter Vectors contain the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase gene, and allow quanititative analysis of factors that may regulate mammalian gene expression.
The pCAT3 Reporter Vectors provide a basis for the quantitative analysis of factors that may regulate mammalian gene expression. The redesigned backbone of the pCAT3 Reporter Vectors is similar to the pGL3 Luciferase Vectors with the exception of a chimeric intron located 5' of the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (CAT) gene. As with the pGL3 Vectors, the pCAT3 Vectors contain a different polyadenylation site located 3' of the gene. The redesigned backbone increases expression of the reporter gene, improves in vivo vector stability and provides greater flexibility in performing manipulations.
