The In Vitro Technologies Research Awards support young students and early-career researchers in Australia to pursue innovative research ideas, foster groundbreaking research and contribute to scientific progress. Award recipients will be able to select from ATCC’s authenticated, high-quality biological resources, trusted by the global scientific community for their quality, reliability, and authenticity, to support their research projects
You may be eligible if you are a current student with an Australian
research project and a clear use for ATCC products.
You are a student or early-career researcher at an Australian university or Australian institute.
Your project relates to life sciences, biotechnology, biomedical research, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, oncology or another relevant field.
You can demonstrate how ATCC products will be incorporated into and enhance your proposed research.
Your proposed research will comply with all applicable institutional, ethical and regulatory requirements.
By submitting your application, you agree to the terms and conditions, consent to In Vitro Technologies using your name, institution and approved images in related communications, and agree to acknowledge In Vitro Technologies and ATCC in any outcomes resulting from awarded products.
The awards launch in October, close in November and announce outcomes in December.
Awards are open to the public.

Contact the teamEach award is valued at up to AUD $3,000 in ATCC products. This includes one cell line, one bottle of required media and one bottle of FBS, or alternatively one to two microorganisms at equivalent value.
Current students enrolled at an Australian university or Australian institute may apply, provided their project meets the eligibility requirements.
Projects should relate to life sciences, biotechnology, biomedical research, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, oncology or another relevant field. Your application must show how ATCC products will support the work.
Awarded products are subject to IVT import permits and stock availability at ATCC. The final product selection will be confirmed with the award recipient.
Outcomes will be announced on 7 December 2026 and published on LinkedIn and Newsletter.
